Addressing a Secure-Mail Recipient

Addressing a message recipient is connected to contacts listed in your ‘Directory’ and ‘Patients’, as well as the service 'Global Directory'. When adding a contact, the recipient field responds in the following ways:

  1. If you are addressing the message to a contact for the first time, who does not have an account, after the email address is entered into the recipient field. You would proceed by clicking the 'Continue?' link if no match to the email is found in your ‘Directory’ and ‘Patients’ contacts. Please note by clicking 'Tab' on your keyboard, or navigating away from the recipient field before selecting 'Continue?' would cause the email address you entered to disappear.

After selecting the 'Continue?' link, the option to invite the user is then presented. After the message is sent, and the recipient activates their account, the recipient is added to your local 'Directory' or 'Patient' contact.

After selecting the 'Continue?' link, the 'Global Directory' would display a recipient associated with the email address. Click on the suggested recipient if you are satisfied the contact is the correct one. After the message is sent, the recipient is added as a contact in your local 'Directory' or 'Patient' list.
